Thursday July 10th Willing Worker Day

Thanks to the Willing Workers for a good job done!  They were Gene Maeuser, Travis Fintelmann, Frederick Marten, Elverta Reinemann, Terry  VerDuin, Bernice Beuchel, Jake & Mavis Burkhardt, Shirley Mauk, and Charlie & Marie Schwinn.
The weeding and monthly grounds up-keep was done around the church and parsonage.  A shrub was replaced, sand was swept up in the parking lot, windows were washed, and Sunday school rooms are getting ready for housecleaning.
We had a good lunch and discussed our progress and plans for continue work.  The next Willing Worker day will be on Thursday, July 10th (due to the 4th of July weekend).  We plan to again do a general grounds upkeep job, get the floors ready for treatment for Fall, and houseclean the Sunday school rooms.
Everyone is welcome and much work always needs to get done.  We enjoy working together and we always have a good social time with a good meal.  Call Elverta Reinemann (565-3151) or Marie Schwinn (565-2576) with any questions.

Prayer Concerns

New Opportunity for helping Rev. Michele with your Prayer Concerns each Sunday – On a clipboard on the table in back of church, you will see a pad for writing your prayer concerns for Rev. Michele.  Please put the date and the information you would like to share.  If you do not want to have your concern shared with the congregation, there is a place for you to mark, “do not read aloud in worship.”  It is important for you to continue to share your joys and concerns verbally but it is also helpful for you to write your concern so that we have accurate information.  Thank you.  The prayers of the people in worship are important to share…  “Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”  (Galatians 6:2)

Summer Worship

Summer worship plans are being made for the times when Rev. Michele is away from us.  On June 29, the Worship Planning Team will be leading our worship time and Pam Hodgson will be our preacher for that Sunday.  Sunday, July 6, will be a “Hymn Sing”.  If you have a favorite patriotic hymn that you would like to sing that day, please give your suggestion to a member of the Worship Planning Team.  Members of the Worship Planning Team are:  Gail Gottsacker, Donna Schwinn, Pam Hodgson, Mark Dreier, Nancy Dreier, Rodney Thieleke, and Kathy Walber.
